Bio: Scott Townson, 45 years old: Fishing since a child in creeks, rivers, lakes and oceans. Growing up within walking distance of Lake Whitney in Texas provided ample opportunity to become a fishing fanatic. Introduced to fishing by his dad and grandfather, they never thought he'd take it this far.

Scott has spent years evolving as an angler. 8 years in the Air Force granted him opportunity to expand fishing horizons. 5 years in England, 1983-1988, exposed him to new fishing techniques and fostered a desire to learn. Returning to the USA provided additional opportunities of fishing competitively for bass.

By the time he was 30, he had amassed experience in styles of fishing that included: Fly Fishing, Ice Fishing, Offshore fishing, Inshore fishing, Surf Fishing, Tuna fishing, Shark fishing, Long range fishing, Tournament bass fishing, Catfishing, Crappie fishing, Salmon fishing, Trout fishing, Set line fishing, and even "Half Netting" in the Solway Firth.

In the spring of 2006, he acknowledged one type of fishing he'd never studied or attempted. In April of 2006 he became a Carper.

Participating in the Lone Star Carp Brigade tournament trail beginning June of 2006 provided his first Carp tournament win. Winning 3 of the 4 tournaments and overall Trail Champion.

He participated in the 2006 ACS Tournament of Champions, the 2007 Austin Team Challenge and is looking forward to fishing the 2007 Tournament of Champions and participating in the ACS American Carp League.
