Angler Info

Name: McGill, Brian
State Represented: TN
Bio: I am originally from Birmingham, England. I started carp fishing in my youth and carried on fishing for carp off and on until I came to the USA back in 2000.
I never knew carp angling existed over here apart from a few articles in magazines which I had read years ago so I never fished at all until I stumbled across C.A.G. and the American Carp Society websites in the summer of 2006.

Since then I have been lucky to find out in my local area there are some huge fish waters locally and I have been able to smash my old U.K. personal bests with a 44lb common carp and a 25lb mirror carp.

I mainly use European tackle with a blend of pack-bait methods and K-1 baits which have so far been a deadly combination for me.
My goal in the ACL is to carry on enjoying our sport and to help me also record my catches which I am usually terrible at doing and help promote carp fishing wherever I am able to and to try to dispel a few myths about carp to my fellow angling statesman while I am it.
